I combine over 40 years of experience in building, remodeling, and teaching to offer home inspections that are thorough, clear, and engaging. After retiring from 35 years as a Technology Engineering Education teacher, I decided to bring my passion for homes and people together and become a home inspector. I’ve been building and remodeling homes since high school, and I treat every inspection as if my own family were buying the home.
My commitment to quality goes beyond hands-on experience. After completing the Building Performance Institute’s Building Analyst course, I gained a deeper understanding of building science and energy efficiency. In 2018, I used this knowledge to remodel a 200-year-old farmhouse, making it energy-efficient and easy to maintain. This project continues to inspire my work and my approach to modernizing older homes.
Outside of home inspections, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I’m an avid kayaker, fisherman, skier, and camper, and I’m especially fond of the Adirondack Mountains. I’m also learning fly tying and how to play the guitar. Whether I’m traveling to visit my children or exploring new hobbies, I bring the same care and attention to my inspections as I do to my personal life.
